Land is an asset of finite magnitude.

  • Land, air, and water have been created by the Infinite Creator yet their existence on Earth is finite. Each of these three is bound by a finite magnitude. They serve all the needs of the various life-forms on Earth but if they are overused or misused they fall in their magnitude.
  • For example, Owing to the immense misuse of the air which can be termed as air-pollution Delhi is suffering from an acute fresh-air crisis.
  • Land is a great asset to Man. It provides us with a place to live, a place to grow food, a place to build industries and so many other functions but if we overuse it there will no longer be any chance of utility.
  • In the past we have observed how land had been wasted in India due to the extreme greed of the British.  Indigo cultivation stands testimony to it.
  • In the present years fertile land has been wasted due to industrialisation, building of roads, pollution.
  • Beautiful hill stations have turned into concrete jungles because of over population. Soil erosion has increased due to de-forestation.  Hence we may conclude that Land is an asset of finite magnitude.
