Suggestion to increase the productivity on same piece of land :-
Land is fixed and so its productivity, but it can be increased by following scientific agronomic practices.
1) Timely Preparatory and Seeding Operations -
These are aimed mainly at conservation of the stored soil moisture. This is done by deep tillage and surface tillage. Deep tillage is helpful for Kharif crops as it helps break through the hard and compact layer below the top soil. Because of prolonged practice of traditional ploughing for centuries, this layer becomes hard and resists percolation of water and penetration of roots. Deep tillage allows maximum rainwater intake, a good seed bed and effective weed control. Surface tillage is good for Rabi crops, as it helps to conserve soil moisture.
2) Effective Weeding Operations -
In absence of weed control measure, the residual soil moisture is lowered. Weeds can be controlled by off-season tillage, proper seed bed preparation, timely sowing and using weedicides.
3) Checking Wind Erosion -
Erosion by wind is a common problem in dry-land areas. This can be checked by planting plant barriers, fixing sand dunes by providing surface cover, stubble mulching, i.e., leaving behind substantial vegetative residue, which apart from checking erosion, also conserves moisture by promoting infiltration and checking evaporation.
4) Using Resistant Varieties -
These varieties include short duration varieties (for late onset of rains), and those are suitable for late sowing and the deep rooted ones, like pigeon pea, and castor. India has developed improved varieties of maize, wheat, barley, bazra, mustard, gram, urad, castor, arhar and moong.
5) Crop Diversification -
Crop diversification is another good method to increase land productivity. Introduction of crops like cluster beans and castor beans stabilizes crop production in rainfed areas.
6) Inter-cropping With Legumes -
Cultivation of legumes in association with cereals minimizes risks as legumes fix atmospheric nitrogen and offer an efficient land-use in terms of time and space.
7) Employing Alternative Land-use -
a) In case of arable land : Agro-forestry and inter-cropping with leguminous crops.
b) In case of marginal lands and cultivable wastelands : Tree farming, pasturing and social forestry.
These methods are useful because trees can withstand extreme soil and moisture conditions, and legumes and grasses provide the ground cover.
8) modern Farming Methods -
Modern farming methods such as using HYV seeds, pesticide, insecticides and chemical fertilizers will increase the productivity of land.

The efficiency of land can be improved by using it at its lot.The request of land is controlled by association's MRP curve. The request is the main determinant of Rent in light of the fact that the supply of land is fixed. Supply of land is vertically fixed. It can't be expanded or diminished as land is not portable.
By using the land to the max we can increase the productivity of the land if we are using the land and there is something built there then the productivity will be to gain the maximum profits by running that business, this is one way the productivity can be increased.
On the other hand, if the land is being used for agricultural purposes then the land's productivity can be increased by taking care of it, taking care of the environment there, by making sure there are no insects and the crops are being grown properly.
