Answer:
The language devised by humans for communication between each other becomes a barrier in the conversation between Muni and the American. As they do not understand each others language, both speak on unrelated topics. The foreigner is concerned about the price of the horse while Muni is speaking on its religious importance. The foreigner assumes Muni as a salesman and offers him a hundred rupee note in exchange of the horse statue. Muni understands that the hundred rupee note is for his goats on which he tried different fancy diets. Their inability to understand each other's language adds to the humour in the story.
