Certainly I would suggest you to not check for the display when buying laptop better check the screen resolution and the processor of the laptops .But you need a laptop that has better display than macbook , In such case I would probably recommend you to go with DELL XPS 17 or ASUS Zenbook pro duo
As per me I would say you that never go with HP, Acer, Lenovo as these 3 brands are very bad with cheap processors and high service cost. Mostly the HP service cheats its customer the most.
