Hey there...❗

Here is ur answer..

⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇

Large multipurpose project leads to land degradation.

》Salinisation of land and soil : Irrigation has changed the cropping pattern of many regions with farmers shifting to water intensive cropping. This has led to the salinisation of the soil.

》Multipurpose projects leads to regulating and damming of the river, which affects the natural flow of the rivers and causing the poor sediment flow.

》Multipurpose projects induce pollution which leads to land degradation.

》These projects ; especially dams are made to control flood.
But during the time of heavy rain , the authority needs to release the water from the dam which leads to flood.
This flood leads to the subsequent washing down of soil and land, leading to land degradation.

All the above reason concludes that multipurpose projects leads to land degradation.
