Large scale cutting down of trees causes soil erosion. Do you think this is possible? How do trees help the soil?

yes large scale cutting of trees causes soil erosion. the roots of trees help to hold the soil. but when trees are cut down, the roots are no longer holding the soil together and physical factors like water, wind etc can displace the soil.

Yes this is possible that cutting trees at a large scale can cause soil erosion as the roots binds the soil so that the tree doesn’t fall thus cutting trees can cause soil erosion
