I tried to look around and got a faint glimpse of a man entering through the open window. I felt afraid. The man entered with a torch in his hand. With the help of a torch-light, he located the cupboard in my room. Walking stealthily, he moved towards it. I gathered my courage and told myself to do something. Suddenly, an idea struck my mind as I could not make any noise to make the thief aware of my presence. I gave a missed call through my cell phone to my parents who were sleeping in the next room. My father, a bit perplexed, came to my room. The moment he opened the door, the thief tried to run away. By that time I’d made up my mind to hit him with the water-bottle lying near my bed. The target was quite close. He jumped but the bottle hit him badly and he fell down. We caught him and handed him over to the police.

Last night I heard a noise in my room. When I opened my eyes, I saw a burglar entering my room. I pretended as if I was still sleeping. So that, the moment he accepts that I'm sleeping and he gets his attention diverted. I can call the cops as I was in a habit of keeping my cell phone beneath my pillow. But the situation went on to become worst, he called someone and said that after stealing the precious things, he is going to kill me and run away. I became nervous couldn't make a proper decision. There were thousands of thoughts running through my mind and I just couldn't let him go or else he would repeat the same with others. I quietly got off my bed when his focus was towards my cupboard, I took a vase and I bashed it on his shoulder then he went unconscious. I took my cell phone went out of the room and looked it and I immediately called the cops. The moment the cops came, they arrested him. He was still unconscious so it was quite easy to arrest him. The cops appreciated me and I was feeling quite proud that time.
