Step-by-step explanation:

GIVEN:

A LINE SEGMENT AB AND PQ BISECTS AB.

THEREFORE;

LET'S TAKE O AS MIDPOINT OF AB ,

AO=BO

ALSO GIVEN;

AO=3X-17 AND BO=X+13

TO FIND:

X AND LENGTH OF AB.

CALCULATION;

ATQ,

3x - 17 = x + 13 \\  \\  =  > 3x - x = 13 + 17 \\  \\  =  > 2x = 30 \\  \\  =  > x =  \frac{30}{2}   = 15

NOW WE GOT X=15 UNITS.

AO=3X-17=3×15-17=45-17=28

BO=X+13=45+13=58

NOW LENGTH OF AB=AO+BO=28+58=86 UNITS
