Last summer, my parents took my sister and me on a trip to....

Answer:

Last summer, my parents took my sister and me on a trip to Andaman & Nicobar Islands. These are an Indian archipelago in the Bay of Bengal. These roughly 300 islands are well-known for their palm-lined, white-sand beaches, mangroves and tropical rainforests.

This is a beautiful island, with pristine beaches, clean air and bright sunshine. This tropical paradise, with plenty of greenery attracts tourists from all over the world.

The natives are friendly and easy-going. The official language is Bengali, though English and Hindi are widely spoken.

The coral reefs are a beautiful sight. I enjoyed travelling around Andaman & Nicobar Islands, and especially remember a boat trip with family where I got to experience marine life. My sister and I also enjoyed swimming in the ocean and tried to learn to surf. It was the best trip ever in my life till yet.

Explanation:

  • Travelogue is an honest record of an individual's encounters voyaging, for the most part, told in the past tense and in the first person.
  • The word travelogue probably comes from a mix of the two words travel and monologue. Thus, the word talk comes from the Greek words monos (alone) and logos (discourse, word).
  • Since a "travelogue" means to be a genuine record of a person's encounters while voyaging, portrayals of what the explorer sees, hears tastes, scents, and feels in the outer world while voyaging is fundamental parts.
