Description of beauty of Nubra valley:

Last summer I visited Nubra Valley in Ladakh. The view of the valley is picturesque and breathtaking.  as the guide said, During winter, the whole valley looks like a landscape of the moon covered by snow but in summer it was full of greenery to my delight. To reach Nubra valley, is the best part when you have to cross Khardung La, the highest motorable pass in the world. The experience to cross it is breathtaking.

The valley is mostly decorated with Buddhist monasteries. Ensa, Samstemling, Diskit, and Hunder monasteries are famous Buddhist monasteries here. the architecture of these monasteries is a feast to the eyes.

The cold desert between Diskit and Hundur is a place of attraction for us.  Tourists gather in the cold desert to watch the beautiful sand dunes and for enjoying rides on the back of Bactrian camels.

If you ever happened to visit Nubra valley, dont forget to vidit the Maitreya Buddha statue which is  really gigantic. This 32 feet reaches the sky facing Shyok river. another piece of attraction is The Jhampa statue  which is said to be a symbol of world peace and harmony. It is said to be aimed at preventing a clash with Pakistan and bringing peace and protection to the Nubra Valley below.
