So, while moving she increased the speed of the car from 36km/h to 54km/h. All of sudden , a rickshaw came in front of her car but due to applying of brakes at the right time, both of them got safe from meeting with an accident .

(a) calculate the increase in the speed of the car in the terms of km/h.

Given:

Priyanka while moving in her car, she increased the speed of the car from 36km/h to 54km/h.

To find:

  • Increase in speed of car

  • Positive action showed by Priyanka

Calculation:

Initial speed = 36 km/hr

Final speed = 54 km/hr

Let increase in speed be ∆v

 \rm{\Delta v = v2 - v1 }

 =  >  \rm{\Delta v = 54 - 36}

 =  >  \rm{\Delta v = 18 \: km {hr}^{ - 1} }

So, increase in speed = 18 km/hr.

  • Positive action showed by Priyanka : She was driving carefully with the alert mind, such that when she saw the rickshaw coming in front of a car she quickly applied the brakes.

  • This prevented any accident and prevented loss of life.
