Sir,
Subject: Safety measures in amusement parks
I am a resident of Delhi and frequent the amusement parks here with my family and friends. this is to bring to your notice the death of a fifty-year old man who had a cardiac arrest after a ride on a roller coaster in Appu Ghar.
Delhi has come up with many amusement parks that offer thrilling rides. But, it has been noted that most parks still do not follow safety norms. There is need to put up boards declaring that underage children, heart patients and pregnant women would not be allowed on the rides. The person sitting at the ticket window must reiterate this while selling tickets. Paramedics and ambulances need to be on call throughout the public timings. Even the people need to understand their responsibility in not going on rides if they have a poor health condition. Parks not following safety directions must be closed down immediately.
I hope that the public and concerned authorities will take appropriate steps to avoid such accidents.
Thanking you in anticipation.
