Latitudinal and longitudinal of india is 30approx then explain why is the north south extent bigger than the east west extent

The north south extent is bigger than east west extent.

The distance between the longitude decreases when we move towards poles.

But this does not happen in case of latitudes.

Longitudes extend from south to north.

Latitudes extend from east to west.

But the numerical difference between longitudes and latitudes is same.

So,North south extent is bigger than east west extent.
