Sub:- increasing incidents of road accidents.
Sir,
I shall be highly obliged if you kindly allow me a little space in your esteemed daily to concern my views on increasing the incidents of road accidents.
Road accidents have become an almost regular incident in our day-to-day life. Keeping with the pace of modern life, the number of vehicles have increased considerably. During rush hours public vehicles like buses, minibuses and even Government buses ply with excessive velocity to complete and overtake each other for getting passengers. As a result of such reckless driving, the accelerator friendly drivers violate traffic rules. Not only drivers, the pedestrians too often cross the road without caring the traffic rules.
Public awareness and also strict enforcement of traffic rules are essential to minimise this urban problem. Please add a strong editorial note on this issue.
Yours faithfully,
