Laura attitude toward failure changes over the courage of the story by showing how she never gave up even after what happen during soccer practice. For example, “ Walking to the car after the last game of the season, Laura tried to smile at her mother. Having spent yet another game sitting on the bench, Laura hadn’t even broken a sweat. ” This shows that she was a very courageous girl even if she sit in the bench for the whole can she still did not give up. Also, “ Now that the season was over, she just wanted to forget about soccer. She clearly wasn’t good enough to play with Los Halcones, and that was that.” This prove that she gave up on soccer but at the end she still did not give up and she even improve playing soccer.
