if laura takes 180 secs then alia will take... 1/5*180 = 180/5 = 36 secs....so final ans is 36 secs

so alia gakes 1/5 of the time laura takes ....so 'of' always refers to multiplication and so u shud multiply 1/5 and 180 and then u get the ans!

Laura takes 3 mins or 180 secs to solve the problem and alia takes 1/5 of the time Laura takes to solve the problem... so the word 'of ' always refers to multiplication and so gotta multiply 180 and 1/5 =180/5 = 36 secs...so the final answer is : Alia takes 36 secs to solve the problem.
