During the Ouija Board party, Lavinia is shocked to find the Boards pointing to some Helen’s connection with her husband, Hallock. She immediately concludes, her husband has an affair with the ghost of Helen of Troy. She becomes extremely angry and decides to leave him. She even threatens her lawyer will talk to him for the legal action.
Lavinia is not justified in taking such a rash decision. Later on she came to know that the ghost was not of Helen of Troy; but rather it was of an ugly Helen. From this incident we come to know she was quite possessive about her husband. She is a loving and caring wife. She just threatens him she will go to her grandmother’s house; but her intention is Hallock should stop her from going.
