Well,the law of refraction namely Snell's Law is defined such that for any two transparent medium when light travels from one medium to another it bends in the other medium.
And the law for mathematical formulation states that,
the ratio of the sine of the angle of the incidence at the point of incidence to the sine of the angle of refraction is equal to a constant for a given pair of media and a given colour or so to say monochromatic Ray of light.
