There is a very well-written Constitution of India that covers all the aspects of the running of a country. ... But generally, Indians believe in breaking the laws or interpreting them according to their convenience.

The reasons behind this can be

People in India always take things for granted.

Youngsters influenced by gangsters movies try to copy things from the movies, as enacting those things looks cool to them.

People here think that following law means following order of someone and due to which their self esteemed would degrade.

Laws are taken for granted by the law makers themselves.

Children learn what they see their elders doing, later on they follow the same things.

Lack of education is also a major factor, as there are many people who have not got even basic(primary) education.

Lack of awareness in schools about why law should be followed? and what is it’s importance?

In most of the cases strict punishment are not there for not following the law which encourage them to do unlawful activity again and again.
