"Newton's laws of motion"

* Established by Sir Isaac Newton in 1686.

* Gives relationship between force applied and state of motion acquired by it.

First law of motion.

A body continues its state of rest or of uniform motion in a straight line unless an external force acts on it.

____________________________

Second law of motion.

The rate of change of momentum of a body is directly proportional to force applied and change in momentum is along the direction of applied force.

Third law of motion.

To every action there is an equal and opposite reaction; but the action and reaction forces act on different bodies.

ZunayedTIME: Equations?

1st law of motion-Every object in a state of uniform motion tends to be in that state of motion unless an external unbalanced force is applied to it.

2nd law of motion-The rate of change of momentum is proportional to the unbalanced force in the direction of force.

3rd law of motion-To every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

Equations of motion-

1. a=(v-u)/t

2. 2as=(v square) - (u square)

3. s=ut+(1/2)at square
