Answer: No. of bananas she purchased = 6

Step-by-step explanation: Let the no. of bananas be x.

The total amount paid by Laxmi = Rs. 30

No. of oranges = 6 and costs of 1 orange = 3

Costs paid by Laxmi for oranges = 6 × 3 = 18

No. of bananas = x and costs of 1 bananas = 2

Costs paid by Laxmi for bananas = x × 2

Costs paid by Laxmi for bananas = the total amount paid by Laxmi - Costs paid by Laxmi for oranges

x × 2 = 30 - 18

x × 2 = 12

x = 12/2

x = 6
