Age of Ramu= 32 years.

Age of his son= 7 Years.

Let after x years the age of Ramu will be 2y.

And after x years his son age be y.

32 + x = 2y ………….(eq.1)

7 + x = y …………..(eq.2)

32 + x = 2y

=> x = 2y - 32 ………….(1)

Putting the value of (1) on eq.2 we get,

7 + 2y - 32 = y

=> 2y - y - 25 = 0

=> y = 25

Thus from (eq.1)

7 + X = 25. ( Putting value of y)

=> X = 18

Thus after 18 years the condition will satisfy

Let's check whether the answer is correct or not.

After 18 years

Ramu = 32 + 18 = 50 years

His Son = 7 + 18 = 25 years. (Proved)

ramu_age=32

son_age=7

let Y be the number of years were ramu will be twice as old as his son

ramu_age=2(son_age)

32+Y=2(7+Y)

32+Y=14+2Y

18=Y

hence after 18 years ramu will be twice old as his son

i.e, he’ll be 32+18=50 and son 7+18=25

Let Ramu's son’s age be x and we know that Ramu is (32–7) i.e. 25 yrs older than his son .So his age will be x+25

2x=x+25 …at the ahe where Ramu's son's age is twice Ramu's

So x= 25 …Ramu's son's age and (x+25) i.e. 50 his age.

So 25–7=18 yrs

So after 18 yrs Ramus age will be twice as Ramu's son's age.

Answer

the condition will be satisfied in 18 years

Step-by-step explanation:

both father and son age in same no:of years i.e. dad's age+x and son's age+x will be a constant

so to satisfy given condition=

32+x=2(7+x)

32+x=14+2x

32-14=2x-x

18=x

verification: 32+18=50.....L.H.S

                   2(7+18)=2(25)=50......R.H.S

L.H.S=R.H.S

stay cool!
