Hey there!

LCM or Least common multiple is the least value among common multiples of given numbers.

To find this, We need to first know the common multiples of given numbers

Given numbers = 2 , 4

Multiples of 2 = 2 , 4 , 6 , 8 , 10 , 12 ...

Multiples of 4 = 4 , 8 , 12 , 16 , 20 , 24 ...

Common multiples of 2 , 4 = 4 , 8 , 12 , 16 , 20
.........

The least value among the common multiples= 4 .

So, LCM is 4 .

This can be found by using prime factorization

2 = 2¹

4 = 2²

LCM

= 2²

= 4 .

Therefore, The Least common multiple of 2 , 4 is 4 .

Hope helped!
