3 is a prime number. 2 and 3 have no prime factors in common. 2 x 3 = 6. The lowest common multiple of 2 and 3 is 6.

LCM OF 2 AND 3 =

2X1 = 2

2X2 = 4

2X3 = 6

3X1 = 3

3x2 = 6

Common mutliple of 2 and 3 = 6

LCM = 6
