Correct answer: Option C = 7

Step-by-step explanation:

The given numbers are 4, 7 and 25.

• 1st number = 4 = 2 × 2

• 2nd number = 7

• 3rd number = 25 = 5 × 5

So LCM of 4, 7 and 25 is

= 2 × 2 × 5 × 5 × 7

= 700

When 700 is increased by 10%, the number we obtain is

= 700 × (1 + 10/100)

= 700 × 110/100

= 770

and when 770 is decreased by 10%, the number we obtain is

= 770 × (1 - 10/100)

= 770 × 90/100

= 693

Thus the number so obtained is (700 - 693) = 7 less than the original number.
