LCM stands for Lowest common multiple i.e. for two or more numbers the smallest multiple which is common to them.

In this case the multiple of 1 are 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, ….

and 5 are 5,10,15,20,…….

here we can see 5 is common which is also the smallest. Therefore 5 is the LCM
