Let the HCF be x.

⇒ LCM = 20x

Now, HCF + LCM = 2520

→ x + 20x = 2520

→ 21x = 2520

→ x = 2520 ÷21

→ x = 120

∴ HCF = x = 120

LCM = 20x = 2400

WKT, HCF × LCM = Product of the 2 numbers.

Let the other number be y.

→ 120 × 2400 = 480y

→ y = $\frac{120 \times 2400}{480}$

→ y = $\frac{2400}{4}$

→ y = 600

∴ The other number is 600.
