And L.C.M of the two numbers be L .

By Question

H+L=680

L=84H

⟹85H=680

⟹H=8

Also HL=xy (Since HCF times LCM is the product of two numbers(Basic algebraic law, valid for only two numbers))

Therefore, L=672

⟹5736=56y (y is the other number)

⟹y=96 (Answer)
