THE GIRL AND THE MONKEY
Once there was a girl who lived with her family near a forest. Her father was a woodcutter. One day she went into the forest with her father for cutting a tree. After choosing a good tree his father started cutting it and the girl starts playing around. While playing she realized that the tree her father was cutting is home to a monkey. Realizing that very soon he will be homeless, the monkey starts crying out loud . Being habituated, her father didn't notice a thing but the girl could not resist this feeling. So she requested her father to stop cutting the tree and told him about the monkey. Being a great father, he could not deny his daughter's wish and stopped cutting the tree and they both went home empty handed that day.
Years later, one day the girl went into the forest to collect some fruits and flowers. without realizing her path, she went deep into the forest and lost her way. Wandering here and there in search of the right way she fell into a swamp and started drowning. The swamp was home to a deadly crocodile. Realizing that a prey has fallen into the swamp he started attacking the girl and grabbed her foot by his jaws. The girl started shouting out loud for help but there was no one to listen to her in that forest. Then suddenly out of nowhere a monkey came. This monkey was friend of the crocodile and he talked him out of it. So the crocodile left the girl and went away and the girl was rescued. As the girl came out of the water she realized that it was the same monkey she helped years ago. So she realized that good deeds always come back to us.
