ldentify the substance that is oxidised and the substance that
is reduced in the following two reactions

i) 4Na(s) + O2(g) => 2Na2O(s)
ii) CuO(s) + H2(g) => Cu(s)+H2O(l)

1) Na is oxidized to Na2O
[ oxidation is addition of Oxygen]

2) CuO is reduced to Cu
[ reduction is removal of Oxygen]

H2 is oxidized to H2O
[ oxidation is addition of Oxygen]
