Answer :

➥ The velocity of the packet after 2 sec = -31.6 m/s

Given :

➤ Intial velocity of the balloon (u) = -12 m/s

➤ Acceleration due to gravity (a) = -9.8 m/s²

➤ Time taken (t) = 2 sec

To Find :

➤ The velocity of the packet (v) = ?

Solution :

The velocity of the packet after 2 sec

From first equation of motion

⟾ v = u + at

⟾ v = -12 + (-9.8) × 2

⟾ v = -12 - 9.8 × 2

⟾ v = -12 - 19.6

⟾ v = -31.6

Hence, the velocity of the packet after 2 sec is -31.6 m/s.
