Given ,

Initial speed = 40 km/hr

Final speed = 60 km/hr

Time = 5 sec or 5/3600 hr

We know that ,

 \large \sf \fbox{Acceleration =  \frac{Change \:  in \:  velocity}{Time}   }

Substitute the known values , we get

 \sf \hookrightarrow Acceleration =  \frac{(60 - 40)  \times 3600}{5}  \\  \\ \sf \hookrightarrow Acceleration = 20 \times 720 \\  \\ \sf \hookrightarrow Acceleration = 14400 \:  \: m/ {s}^{2}

Hence , the acceleration of the car is 14400 km/h²
