HOLA!!!
Lead nitrate, on heating, decomposes to give yellow lead oxide, brown nitrogen dioxide and colourless gas oxygen. A decripitating (crackling) sound is heard.
Here's the balanced equation:
2Pb(NO₃)₂ ------> 2PbO + 4NO₂ + O₂
2 moles of lead nitrate will give 2 moles of lead monoxide, 4 moles of nitrogen dioxide and 1 mole of oxygen gas.
Thanks!!
