Lead oxide is reacts with carbon to form lead and carbondioxide. Give reasons, identify the substance which is oxidised and the substance which is reduced.

Lead oxide is basic in nature. carbon when made to react with lead releases carbon dioxide as reactant and lead as reduction.

Lead is oxidised and Carbon dioxide is produced as carbon is reduced
