There are two aspects of this question: One is when the leaf falls then no new leaf grows from that point, in that case the answer should be chemical change as the leaf falls off on the ground so it is not possible for the leaf to regain its original position. Second is the one in which when the leaf falls off from the plant then new leaf grows from the same point and this process continues till the plant dies in that case the answer should be physical change.
