1. amount of money / number of months (i.e. 480 / 12 = 240)

2. joy and maya's money is 6.00 + 3.00 = 9.00 so jai has 16.00 - 9.00 more than them, which is 7.00

3. amount of money / number of hours (i.e. 7 155 / 27 = 265)

4. amount of money all three cousins received = 8 349 - 3 216 - 1 539 = 3 594. amount of money they received / 3 (i.e. 3 594 / 3 = 1 198)

5. half of pocket money = book + shirt + 3 pens = 738.50 + 238.50 + 3(57) = 1 148. so his pocket money is that times 2 (i.e. 1 148 × 2 = 2 296)

6. saree = coat + shirt + 489 = 868 + 397 + 489 = 1 754

7. amount mother received =  total - brother's amount - sister's amount = 7 964 - 2 098 - 1 849 = 4 017
