Leasses a and b are 100km apart on a highway one car starts from a and another from b at the same time . if the car travells in the same direction at diffrent speed, they meet in 5 hours . if they travel towprds each other, they meet in one hour . what are the speeds of two cars ?

lets say v1 is velocity of a and v2 is velocity of b.
if the travel in same direction then velocity of car a with respect to car b=v1-v2
since displacement of car a with respect to b is
100km.
so displ.=vel.*time
100=(v1-v2)*5
20=v1-v2
if the move in opposite direction then relative velocity is v1+v2
so
100=(v1+v2)*1
100=v1+v2
solving eqn 1&2
120=2v1
v1=60km/h
v2=40km/h
that's all.
