1) In the ancient time, this tradition was started when the human realize that the skin of the animal can be used as the cloth to cover their body.

2) In the beginning, they used it for the clothing, and as the technology developed humans found many ways to used the leather to make footwear, clothes, bags, etc.

• Leather was used to make shield which is used in wars

• Well knitted mojadi of Rajasthan, shoes leather knitted purses, belts, footwear.
