if Leaves of a healthy potted plant were coated with vaseline then this plant not remain healthy for long. By applying Vaseline on leaves stomata gets covered transpiration stops. And when the vaselin stops all type of gaseous exchange, both photosynthesis and respiration also cant occur and the leaf will die rapidly.

No it will not be abke to survive more because when the leaves are coated with vasline it stops the tranpiration and photosynthisis. Which will cause it to die
