If Leaves of healthy potted plant were coated with Vaseline to block the stomata then that plant will not remain healthy for long and die rapidly also.
reasons for this are:-
as stomata is blocked, there will be no intake of carbon dioxide.

vaseline layer prevent the plant from receiving sunlight.

also, processes like photosynthesis, transpiration and respiration stops and the plant will die gradually.

first reason - is that Vaseline is thick it will block the stomata so their will be not intake of carbondioxide .
second reason - it will be completely block of the stomata even after we remove it there will be the death of the plant.
third reason - the chemical compound present in the Vaseline will cover the stomata from receiving heat ..
