Question - LED indicator of a TV in your house to operate at 0.75 V and 100 mA. Then its power is : (i) 75 mW (ii) 100 mW (iii) 0.75 W (iv) 7.5 mW

Given - Voltage and current

Find - Power.

Solution - The power is (i) 75 mW

The power is associated with the variables voltage and current as -

P = V*I.

Firstly converting current into milliampere to ampere.

100 mA will be 0.1 Ampere

Now, keep the values in the formula to find the value of power.

Power = 0.75*0.1

Power = 0.075 Watt

As per the known fact, 1 watt = 1000 milliwatts

So, 0.075 Watt = 0.07*1000

Hence, 0.075 Watt is 75 milliwatt.

Hence, the power is (i) 75 mW
