\boxed{Solution}

Given:-

Perimeter of plot - 240 m

Length(l) = 2Breadth (b)

l = 2b

As we know perimeter of a rectangle is

\boxed{2(l+b)}

Using the formula,

2(l+b) = 240

2(2b + b) = 240 (l = 2b)

2(3b) = 240

5b = 240

b =  \frac{240}{6}

b = 40m

l = 2×40 = 80m

Hence, the dimensions of the plot are

 \: length \:  =  80m \: breadth \:  = 40m

let the length be 2x and breadth be x

perimeter=length of fencing wire

perimeter of plot =240m

2(l+b)=240

2(2x+x)=240

4x+2x=240

6x=240

x=240/6

40

length =2×40

80m

breadth =40m

hope it he
