Let the cost price=Rs 100
So profit =7percent
s.p.=100+7=107
now profit of 10% then s.p.=Rs 100
difference between two s.p.=110-107
=Rs 3
difference is Rs3,c.p.=100
if difference is Rs294,c.p.=100/3×294=Rs9800

Q:-Leela sold her gold necklace at a profit of 7%. if she sold it for Rs 294 more, she would have got 10% profit. find the cost price.
≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈

ANS :- Let the CP of necklace be x rupees.

SP at 7%=x+(x×7/100)
=x+7x/100
=107x/100

SP at 10% profit =x+(x×10/100)
=x+10x/100
=110x/100

ACCORDING TO THE QUESTION‚

110x/100-107x/100=294

3x/100=294

3x=294×100

x=29400/3

x=9800

•°•Your answer is 9800.
