Solution :

Leela sold her gold necklace at a profit of 7%.

If she had sold it for Rs 294 more, she would have got 10% profit.

We have to find the cost price.

Let us assume that the cost price of the necklace is x inr

It is first sold at a profit of 7%

So, it's sold at a price of 107% x

It is now sold at a profit of 10%

So it's sold at a price of 110% x

110% x - 107% x = 194

>> 110x - 107x = 29400

>> 3x = 29400

>> x = 9800

Solution - The cost price of the necklace is Rs. 9800

Answer:

CP = ₹9800

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :-

leela sold her gold necklace at a profit of 7%.if she had sold it for rs 294 more, she would have got 10% profit.

To Find :-

CP

Solution :-

Let,

CP = x

Then,

SP = (100 + G%)/100 × CP

SP = (100 + 7)/100 × x

SP = 107/100 × x

SP = 107x/100

When she sold at profit of 10%

Then,

SP = (100 + G%)/100 × CP

SP = (100 + 10)/100 × x

SP = 110/100 × x

SP = 110x/100

Now,

110x/100 - 107x/100 = 294

110x - 107x/100 = 294

3x/100 = 294

x = 294 × 100/3

x = 9800
