a) The spoon should be connected to the cathode.
At the cathode always the metals will be deposited.Hence copper will be deposited on spoon if it is kept at cathode only.
Reaction at cathode:- Ag2+ + 2e----------------------->Ag
b)The other electrode should be made of active silver electrode
Reaction at anode:- Ag-------------------------->Ag2+ + 2e
The silver ions will have to be continuously replaced.
