Left Ventricular Hypertrophy by itself does not cause dyspnoea. When the heart fails to pump effectively to deliver blood to the lungs such that inadequate oxygenation occurs then dyspnoea occurs as a symptom . The underlying cause of hypertrophy could be hypertension , valvular disorder of the heart or some genetic/ congenital anomaly of the heart.
