Ratio of leisure time to working time is 1:5

Let the hours of leisure be 1x and that of working be 5x

We know that a day has 24 hours. So,

1x+5x = 24

6x=24

x= \frac{24}{6}

x=4

Now, time of leisure will be  = 1x = 1*4=4 hours

Working time = 5x=5*4=20 hours

If the ration of leisure time to working time is 1:5 then
let leisure time be 1x                                                                                   (i)
and working hours be 5x                                                                             (ii)
Hours in a day=24
Now,
According to the question
1x+5x=24
6x=24
x=24/6
x=4
hence we get the value of x =4
now putting the value of x in (i) n (ii) we get
Leisure time = 1*x=1*4=4 hours
Working hours= 5*x=5*4=20 hours
Hence the leisure time= 4 hours and working time=20 hours
