Solvents at low temperatures dissolve less amounts of solute. They get saturated easily. Ice will lower the temperature of water. So, we should add ice to the lemonade after dissolving sugar in it.

The good choice would be to add ice to the lemonade after you have added sugar and it has completely dissolved.

Also if you would add ice early, it would ultimately melt and the drink would not be chilled enough.

Scientific reason to this is that the molecules would dissolve easily making a lot of changes in the temperature of the drink.
