Lencho was passing through hardships. The only ray of hope for him was God. When he found out that the amount of money was less than what he had asked from God, he was really angry and called the post office employees 'a bunch of crooks'.

We certainly cannot say that he lacks  the value of humility, appreciation or gratefulness, instead he had boundless trust in the Almighty which made him behave like that.
