Lencho called the post office employees' ‘a bunch of crooks’ after receiving 90 pesos from the god, on whom he was lastly depended on. In the story, he wrote a letter to god, asking for 100 pesos as his crops were obliterated but he only got 90 pesos assuming that the postmen would've stolen the other 10 pesos. It showed that Lencho had a negative attitude towards men. His anger and attitude towards the men showed that he didn't have any faith in men. Therefore, He, Lencho, was not a person of humility, appreciation and gratefulness.
